The LCA held a successful meeting of the electoral candidates for Kaipara ki Mahurangi at the Wellsford Memorial RSA on the 6th Sept.
Gut Wishart (Labour), Chris Penk ( National), Brent Bailey (Act), Huhana Lyndon (Greens), Jenny Marcroft (NZ First), Sarah Brewer (Democracy NZ), and Brenton Faithfull (NZ Loyal), all attended the meeting.
A receptive audience of about 150 people gave the candidates the opportunity to canvas their credentials. It was a very worthwhile event of civic engagement and democratic discourse.
