The upcoming 2023 General Elections Candidates Meeting in Wellsford will be held in the first week of September, organised by LCA and WellsfordPlus.
Work to formalise Stormwater Asset Management in the drainage districts of Tapora and Te Arai is ongoing. Entities to represent the communities for the separate drainage areas are to be established and will look to LCA for assistance and representation with Auckland Council.
LCA is supportive of the Tomarata bore monitoring programme being proposed by Auckland Council. The aim of the monitoring programme is to gain a better understanding and knowledge of the underground water resource. This will assist with decision making on allocation and management of the resource.
On 23rd June Brian Mason attended the Auckland Council Rural Advisory Panel meeting on behalf of the LCA and will continue to engage with Auckland Council.
The next LCA AGM will be held on the 27th July 2023.
